The KSMS Scouts and Guides, in collaboration with the Environment Club, have undertaken a Cleanliness and Community Support Drive at Simuldanga, in association with the Mukhiya of the Sabar community, Mr Ghashi Ram Sabar.

The initiative reflects a spirit of community partnership and shared responsibility, with the team engaging with the residents and contributing towards a cleaner, healthier and more hygienic environment. As part of the drive, the students and team members have visited different areas of the community and spread bleaching powder over stagnant water and other areas requiring attention, while also creating awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.

As part of the community outreach, the team has distributed sarees, children’s wear and dresses, along with biscuits and chocolates for the children. Detergent and bathing soaps have also been distributed as useful everyday essentials.

The drive has brought together Principal Mrs Rina Banerjee, Headmistress Ms Sujata Singh, Registrar Ms Vrinda Suresh, Counsellor Ms Nishi Thakur, Scouts and Guides Captains Ms Sudha Verma and Mr Abodh, and Environment Club Moderators Ms Sheela Sudhakaran and Ms Deepta Chakraborty, along with the Scouts and Guides.

The initiative is an expression of care, respect and community solidarity. It also gives students an opportunity to learn the values of service, empathy, compassion and collective responsibility through meaningful engagement with the community.
