Jamshedpur, September 30, 2026: An On-the-Spot Essay Writing Competition was organised at Tata Steel Zoological Park, Jamshedpur in association with the Jamshedpur Forest Division as a prelude to the Wildlife Week Celebrations 2026. 

The competition was based on the theme “Wildlife Corridors: A Lifeline for Biodiversity”. A total of 42 students from Classes IX to XII representing eight schools participated in the event. The entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges, and the results will be announced on 4 October 2026. Prizes will be distributed during the closing ceremony of Wildlife Week at TSZP from 1:30 PM onwards.

As part of the celebration, a Quiz Competition on Wildlife, Biodiversity and Nature Conservation will be organized for the students of classes X to XII at Van Chetana Kendra, Mango Forest Office on October 1, 2026. The programme aims to enhance awareness and knowledge among students about wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability.
