On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja, the Scouts and Guides and Environment Club of Kerala Samajam Model School undertook a meaningful initiative to support the transgender community by donating new sarees as well as sarees in good condition.

The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Mr. Souvik Saha, Founder of the NGO, People for Change, with the aim of spreading dignity, inclusivity, compassion and festive joy among members of the community.

The sarees were generously donated by Chairman Mr. T. K. Sukumaran, Board Member Mr. Mohan, Academic Director Mrs. Nandini Shukla, Principal Mrs. Rina Banerjee, Registrar Mrs. Vrinda Suresh, Guides Captain Mrs. Sudha Verma, Environment Club Moderator Mrs. Sheela Sudhakaran, and Mrs. Deepta Chakraborty.

This initiative reflects the school's commitment to social responsibility, inclusivity and community engagement, while encouraging students to understand that festivals are an opportunity to share happiness and extend kindness to all sections of society.
