Jamshedpur, September 26, 2026:
The two-day ‘Uunchi Udaan — Towards Perfection’ Rajyoga Tapasya Shivir, specially organised for regular Rajyoga practitioners associated with the Brahma Kumaris institution, commenced today at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the Loyola School Auditorium, Beldih Triangle, Bistupur, Jamshedpur.
Nearly 1,000 Rajyoga practitioners from Jamshedpur and various cities of Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and neighbouring regions are participating in the special spiritual retreat.
The programme is being conducted in the presence of senior Rajyoga practitioner and speaker Rajyogi Brahma Kumar Suraj Bhai Ji, who has been honoured with the Chanakya Award and several other governmental and non-governmental recognitions. He is also an author, Gold Medalist and an experienced practitioner and trainer of Rajyoga.
Senior Rajyoga trainer Geeta Didi and Rohit Bhai Ji have also specially joined the programme. All three are experienced Rajyoga trainers and eloquent speakers.

The programme began with a ceremonial candle-lighting and inauguration in the presence of several eminent members of society, including social worker Purvik Hosh, industrialist and social worker Taru Ben Kamani, Manoj Kumar, Regional Manager, LIC, industrialists Jitendra Agrawal and Anand Singh, along with several other social workers and distinguished guests.
The Father Principal of Loyola School also graced the occasion with his presence.
Senior Rajyoga sisters from Jamshedpur and surrounding areas, including Ragini Didi, Sudha Didi, Poonam Didi, Lakshmi Didi, Unnati Didi, Ruby Didi, Rajvanti Behn and Shivkanya Didi, were also present.
Self-Respect Fills Life with Positive Spiritual Energy — Suraj Bhai Ji
In the opening session, Suraj Bhai Ji spoke on the importance of Self-Respect (Swamaan) and guided the participants through practical experiences and meditation exercises.
Through various examples, he explained how recognising oneself as a soul and maintaining the awareness of being a child of the Almighty Father can bring positive transformation into one's personality and life.
He particularly encouraged the participants to practise the thought:
“I am a child of the Almighty Father. I am a master almighty soul.”
He explained that when this awareness is practised continuously while walking, working and performing everyday activities, it fills the personality with positive spiritual energy. With the power of elevated thoughts and pure intentions, individuals can move forward more peacefully through challenging situations and contribute positively to the well-being of others.
Power of Forgiveness and Gratitude — Geeta Didi
Geeta Didi highlighted the importance of forgiveness in maintaining inner peace. She explained that when an unpleasant incident or someone's behaviour is repeatedly replayed in the mind, it can create negative thought patterns and disturb one's peace.
Instead of holding on to such experiences, practising forgiveness helps the mind become lighter and creates an atmosphere of positivity and inner strength.
She also emphasised the importance of gratitude towards God. She explained that the feeling of lack often arises when we compare ourselves with others and focus on their achievements and possessions. Developing gratitude for what we have helps us experience greater contentment and happiness.
Geeta Didi also conducted a meditation session through which participants experienced these values practically.
Self-Checking Helps Increase the Account of Positive Actions — BK Anju Didi
During the evening session, Brahma Kumari Anju Didi spoke on the importance of Self-Checking as a means of personal transformation.
She explained that regularly checking one's thoughts, words, actions and inner state helps identify shortcomings and gradually overcome them. When a person learns from a mistake and does not repeat it, the account of positive actions continues to grow.
She described this as an “emotional bank account”, where positive thoughts, pure feelings, good wishes and constructive actions are continuously deposited. Such self-checking enables an individual to become a positive example for others as well.
Following this, Apa Behn conducted interactive activities for the participants. They were encouraged to write about personal experiences in which forgiving someone had made their mind lighter and helped them experience greater success in meditation. They were also invited to reflect on situations in which they had made a mistake, sincerely apologised, and subsequently experienced greater happiness and lightness.
Experiencing God's Companionship Through Rajyoga
In the evening session, Rohit Bhai Ji spoke on how to experience the companionship of God in everyday life.
This was followed by a guided Rajyoga Meditation through commentary by Suraj Bhai Ji, enabling participants to experience silence, spiritual awareness and connection with the Supreme.
The concluding session included a special practice led by Geeta Didi on experiencing peace and sending positive thoughts, good wishes and spiritual strength to others through the power of the mind.
Participants from Several Cities
Nearly 1,000 participants from Jamshedpur and surrounding regions, as well as from Gaya, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Patna, Muzaffarpur, Deoghar, Kolkata, Ranchi, Chandil, Balrampur, Deoria and several other places, are participating in the two-day retreat.
The ‘Uunchi Udaan — Towards Perfection’ Rajyoga Tapasya Shivir aims to provide regular Rajyoga practitioners with an opportunity for deeper spiritual practice and self-transformation through self-respect, forgiveness, gratitude, self-checking, positive thinking and remembrance of the Supreme Soul.
The Brahma Kumaris expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished guests, participants, volunteers, well-wishers and members of society for their presence and cooperation, and conveyed best wishes for peace, strength, happiness and spiritual progress in everyone's life.
