Jamshedpur, October 22, 2026: Tata Steel today announced the 11th edition of the Tata Steel Jamshedpur Half Marathon, reinforcing its commitment to promoting fitness, sustainability and community participation. This year’s edition to be held on November 29, 2026, is centred on the theme ‘Run for the Greener Tomorrow’, bringing together the spirit of running and a collective commitment towards environmental responsibility.

A key highlight of this year’s edition is the initiative to plant one sapling for every registered participant. Participants will also be invited to visit the plantation site at a later date to witness the collective contribution made through the event. The initiative seeks to extend the impact of the marathon beyond race day, demonstrating how sporting events can inspire meaningful environmental action.

Speaking at the press conference, D B Sundara Ramam, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, highlighted the marathon’s evolution into a community-wide celebration of health, endurance and collective spirit. He emphasised that sport goes beyond competition, serving as an important platform for community development, holistic well-being and environmental awareness.
