Hindu outfit, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), on Monday staged protest outside Raj Bhawan clamouring injustice against its members and vehemently opposed police’s action against members of the outfit active in 12 districts of Jharkhand. The saffron group alleged police of high-handedness and administrations of those districts prejudiced in dealing with matters of inter-religious faith.
“Police and administration are harassing our members from last one year. Our members have been deliberately booked under many cases that make seeking bail a difficult task. Police in most of the cases have acted in a prejudiced manner,” said State secretary of VHP, GS Yadav.
The organisation alleged that around 500 workers across 12 districts have been booked under offences on flimsy ground and Dhanbad topped the list with more than 100 cases against as many members. The Hindu outfit claimed that around 45 members in Ranchi have been implicated in various cases in Ranchi.
