The 27th Road Safety Week has been organised from January 10 to 16 by SAIL Safety Organisation in association with Traffic Police, Ranchi. A campaign vehicle with vital information on Road Safety was flagged off on January 13, from SAIL, RDCIS building by BB Mishra, ED (SSO) and Neeraj Mathur, ED (CET) in presence of senior officers of SAIL units at Ranchi who were present in large numbers.
The campaign was joined by Manoj Ratan Chothe, SP (Traffic) and officials from Traffic Police Ranchi at Birsa Chowk. Chothe and BB Mishra alongwith their entire team distributed informative pamphlets to road users and counseled the violators. Chothe complimented SAIL Safety Organisation for taking the initiative on spreading awareness on Road Safety.
At St Xavier’s School, Doranda, a special awareness session was organised wherein students were sensitised on importance of road safety through a mass interactive awareness session. MR Chothe, BB Mishra, Fr Ajit Xess, Principal St Xavier’s School and RK Sinha, GM (Safety), SSO highlighted various aspects of Road Safety. Some educative videos were shown by SP (Traffic) to students which were liked by all. Some students interacted with SP (Traffic) and also gave valuable suggestions & sparkling ideas for improving safety on the roads to make the programme participative.
