The patients going to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences will have to pay 20 percent less on any medical service they avail. The decision was taken during the meeting of hospital’s governing body on Saturday which was chaired by Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi.
The MRI, CT scan and other costly tests will also be included in the relaxation. Whereas BPL patients can get their MRI tests done free-of-cost. All tests in cardiology and urology departments will also be conducted free of cost. Along with this, patients with annual income below RS 72,000 will also get their tests done for free. Apart from this, the patients coming to RIMS will be freed from the hassle of buying medicines from outside medical shops. “We will be providing certain costly medicines free of cost to both our indoor as well as outdoor patients,” informed RIMS Director BL Sherwal.
