Team Pawan Sharma dominated the executive committee elections of Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries, with a clean sweep. The results declared on Monday evening showed the highest number of votes being cast in favour of winning team’s leader, Pawan Sharma.
“All members of the winning team secured the top 21 positions on the leaderboard. Pawan Sharma, with the highest votes, has been officially declared the new FJCCI president,” informed election officer Lalit Kedia.
Out of the total 33,579 votes cast by 1649 Chamber members, 1476 were cast in favour of former two-time FJCCI General Secretary, whereas Vinay Kumar Agarwal secured the second position with 1450 votes, followed by Ranjeet Garodia, who secured 1429 votes.
Even the lowest scoring member of Team Pawan Sharma, Ravi Bhatt, took away 955 votes. Anil Agarwal of Team Manish Saraf was the highest scorer from the losing team, who came 22nd with 909. The only independent contestant Anand Jalan, out of 31, came 28th with 470 votes.
