Institute of Public health, an auxiliary of State Health and Family Welfare Department, will now function as a collaborative training centre of National Institute of Health and Family Welfare under the approval of Health and Family Welfare Department of Government of India. A Memorandum of Understanding in this regard was signed between IPH and NIHFW on Thursday.
“The people of Jharkhand will directly benefit from this MoU. Continuous training in medical sciences is important for delivering quality medical services as this enhances the abilities of health workers. Now, the required training can be imparted to doctors and health workers of the state,” stated national NHM Mission Director C.K. Mishra as the Chief Guest of the signing ceremony.
Ashish Singhmar, Mission Director, Jharkhand National Health Mission signed the agreement on the behalf of IPH and NIHFW Director Jayant Das did the same on behalf of NIHFW.
“This MoU will help in evaluation and monitoring of the training imparted to health workers in Jharkhand. With the help of Training Management Information System Software, the number of trainees can be determined,” Das said.
