Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Tuesday called on Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and sought help for developing infrastructure in Naxal-hit areas of the State.
Later, speaking to mediapersons, the CM said that the Ministry has granted `9,000 crore for roads in the State. “Gadkariji’s Department is benign for infrastructural development of the State. He has assured me of all help for roads in the Naxal-hit areas. `9000 crore has been granted and he would lay stone for such a project on January 27. We also got assistance for a bridge at Sahibgunj over river Ganga and the Prime Minister is expected to remain present on the foundation stone laying ceremony may be in February,” said Das.
The meeting also discussed projects like development of port under waterways development plan and schemes for development of Santhal Pargana region.
