The State possesses a large number of water bodies, reservoir and river
basins (17) spread across the State, which is available for industrial
use. It need not be stressed that water is an important industrial
input, which should be easily available. The State has undertaken steps
to store run-off water for water harvesting. The State has normal
rainfall pattern of 1400 mm spread across the whole region.
