Governor Draupadi Murmu hoisted the National Flag at State’s second capital Dumka on the occasion of 69th Independence Day celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, she highlighted the State Government’s endeavours to bring development to one and all in the State.
Talking about the Centre-sponsored Atal Pension Yojana, Prime Minister Life Insurance Scheme and Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Scheme, the Governor informed that the state government will be paying the premium for the first year in order to bring more people under the auspices of these schemes.
Governor emphasised on use of IT practises in government and administrative proceedings for making a transparent and sensitive regime.
“Those with annual income up to `72,000 will be provided medical subsidy under Medical Help Scheme for treatment of incurable diseases. State Government will grant `5 lakh for kidney transplantation, `4 lakhs for cancer treatment and up to 2.5 lakh rupees for treatment of other incurable diseases,” she further added.
The Government has also floated a helpline number, 104, where people can get health-related advice and begun construction of 500-bed hospital bed at Dumka.
