Former Naxal dasta member Balmuni, who was forcefully made to join Nakul Yadav’s dasta for over nine months, gets appointment letter for the job of a child-constable in Jharkhand Police on Saturday. Chief Minister Ragbhubar Das while handing over the appointment letter to her said that the Government was committed to bring all misguided youths to the mainstream.
Balmuni, currently studying in class VII at Kasturba Gandhi Residential School at Kanke in Ranchi, remained in the dasta of Nakul Yadav for over nine months and was made of carry day-to-day articles used by the dasta members on her back.
According to Balmuni, she was caught by the police during an encounter in Gumla after she received two bullet injuries on her leg. After getting proper treatment at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, she was later admitted to Kasturba Gandhi Residential School in Ranchi.
