Area : 2479 sq. kms.

District Headquarters : Deoghar

History : Deoghar district was formed after the reconstituion of Santhal Paragnas. Besides Doeghar the other towns in the district are Jasidih and Madhupur. The district has seven blocks - Deoghar, Karon, Madhupur, Mohanpur, Palojori, Sarath and Sarwan.
