Reiterating that the State Government has been working with zero tolerance policy, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that it was committed to provide basic quality infrastructure to the people of the State. According to Das, any defective work done either by a department or by any agency will be probed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and cases will be registered against them accordingly.
The CM also directed the Anti-Corruption Bureau to probe construction works of small bridges and roads under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in 2012-13 to 214-15 in Gumla and other places. From 2012-13 to 2014-15, PIU constructed 27 roads and bridges, NPCC 25 and NBCC 4 roads and bridges under Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojana. During this period, PIU constructed 721, NPCC 153, NBCC 121, HSCL 194 and IRCON constructed 2 schemes in the 24 districts of the State.
On the basis of the complaints lodge by general public, the Bureau will probe 137 schemes of PIU, 32 of NPCC, 23 of NBCC, 38 of HSCL and 1 scheme of IRCON.
