Chief Minister Raghubar Das switched on a 220/132KV grid sub-station and 220KV Dumka-Rupnarayanpur Transmission in Dumka on Thursday that would enable the efforts to ensure uninterrupted and reliable electricity supply to the power-starved region.
All the six districts of the Santhal Pargana division would now get 180 MW. It would be supplemented by 350 MW power after the Pakur grid sub-station get opens on August 15.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM termed the step in the direction of the development of the deprived area. “With the installation of the grid sub-station and transmission line, the Santhal Pargana region would see stream of development coming up and no one can stop this to happen. People want development. We are committed to resolve power shortage in the area in a gradual manner and things would improve further with upcoming Pakur and Madhupur grid sub-stations,” he said.
