Chief Minister Raghubar Das appealed that the private and the public sector companies should work keeping the interests of local youths and revenue generation for the State into consideration. Das was holding a meeting with the Jamshedpur Plant Head of Tata Motors, MB Lal and SK Behra of Confederation of Indian Industries in his office at the Project Building.
Referring to the losses due to stock transfer done by the industries located in the state, Das said that if center for marketing and distribution along with the production is also set up in here itself, the state will be getting all benefits of commercial taxes through which additional revenues could be collected for the developmental processes.
Representatives of Tata Motors and CII on the other hand, ensured that they will submit a status report to the State Government after studying the factors affecting the automobile market following the implementation sales tax pattern and GST. The future of universal marketing and Indian Market in the field of automobile industry will also be taken into consideration.
Development Commissioner RS Poddar, Principal Secretary in the department of Mines and Geology SK Satpathy, Commercial Taxes Secretary Nidhi Khare, Secretary to CM Sunil Kumar Burnwal and Industry Secretary Himani Pandey were also present.
