Ranchi : The state government signed three MoUs on Wednesday, including one with BIT-Mesra, in areas of education and health. The MoU signed between the state higher education department and BIT-Mesra renews a commitment to ensure 50 per cent seats were set aside for students of the state.
The other two MoUs were signed between the state health department and NGOs Deepak Foundation of Gujarat and The George Institute for Global Health, New Delhi. Deepak Foundation will help Jharkhand set up a model referral unit in Dungri and a model health sub-centre in Madhuban, both in Giridih. George Institute will train sahiyas and ANMs to handle the web for timely information on treatment protocols.
