Industrial Training Institute-Kasmar and Bokaro Steel Wednesday inked Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in the presence of Chief Minister Raghubar Das to make youths of the area employable by training them in different trades. The MoA would be executed as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility of the steel manufacturing entity of Steel Authority of India Limited.
The first batch at ITI-Kasmar would start training from August 2016, informed CEO of BSL, Anutosh Maitra. As many as 200 trainees would be inducted in every session even as the provisions for administrative building, workshop, student hostel and staff quarter forms part of the agreement besides efforts being to make faculties and resources available at the centre.
Principal Secretary of Labour department, MS Bhatia said around six institutions have been given approval to operate under CSR which includes ITI at Jagannathpur (given to Tata Steel); Manoharpur (given to SAIL); Ichak (given to Usha Martin); Domchanch (given to DVC); Jheenkpani (to be operated by ACC) and Gola (given to JSPL).
