Governor Droupadi Murmu has advocated for making a perfect blend of agriculture and industry in the way of stable development for the State. Speaking on the occasion of 67th Republic Day the Governor also counted on allied sectors that can support the masses.
“Jharkhand is agriculture and forest based State. Development of agriculture is our priority. To make our state wealthy and developed, it is important to encourage industries equally. But this is to keep in mind that the development should be balanced, inclusive and environment friendly,” she said.
The Governor at the same time talked about latest initiatives for the development of agriculture and farmers, new techniques of animal husbandry, milk production, fisheries etc to improve their living standard and mentioned about the relief package of Rs1398 crore by the Government besides subsidy on seeds and diesel.
“Cow distribution scheme for the rural women has been launched last year and Government has distributed milching cows at 90 per cent subsidy to the women. The women from the villages are becoming self-sufficient with this and contributing in the productivity of the State,” she added.
