Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Jharkhand Police will be formally launched on the occasion of State Foundation Day on November 15. To mark the occasion, the State police will also facilitate surrender of several hardcore CPI (Maoists) during a ceremony organised at the State capital.
“We have been assigned to organise the investiture ceremony where medals will be formally conferred to the policemen who have already been honoured with the award” said ADG (Operations) and Jharkhand Police Spokesperson SN Pradhan.
In addition to that, a parade will also be held on November 14 and Police Duty Meet will be organised from November 1 to November 4, he added. “We are also going to launch ATS formally at the occasion,” the ADG added.
Some people friendly Mobile Apps prepared especially by the State CID, will also to be launched on the State Foundation Day.
Sources in the police department revealed that several hardcore Maoists are also in contact with the police officials willing to surrender before it so that they can also join the mainstream.
